For Jazzmin's comic CONSUMED – Jazzmin Kernodle she showed the way imagery is juxtaposed by every panel you see of hers the penguin is right in the middle facing towards the reader with a phone in its hand. I think she made it like that because she wanted to have the penguin as the main focus and to bring a lot of attention to the fact that the penguin is just focusing on its phone while things around him are changing. The information I think this comic conveys is people are so consumed on there phone there phone they don't see what around them until something happens. The aesthetic of this comic is people are so consumed into social media and there phone you forget the outside world. In this comic closure is shown by the water and mountains in the back round and I say that because Scoot Mccloud describes in his comic that closure is something that the artist draws and jazzmin did that by drawing the water and the bubbles and the little waves in the back and also the ground breaking. There are many different components that play into this work by the word images she used and how in each panel that you scroll down too its a different part of time by the background and the ice breaking and the penguin floating down in the last panels and bubbles passing by it. Jazzmin creatively address what defines a comic from a digital perspective by having me scroll down and having it as if each scroll is a part of life and different stages on the penguins life. Jazzmins comic was designed specifically for web viewing by making it how every time you see each panel you see the main focus which is the penguin on the phone and the pretty blue ocean in the back i also think she did it like this so it shows the pretty mountains in the back. Jazzmin did an amazing job on this comic and honestly on all of her comic I've seen. She is one of the most talented in this class. I really enjoyed this comic and the important relevant meaning behind it.
